The Samsung Galaxy j7 star specs are quite something for a phone in this budget range. For a budget smartphone to come directly with Android 8.0 (Oreo) and a super AMOLED screen is impressive.

The Samsung Galaxy j7 star release date was announced in 2018 with various other models coming in as well.

The j7 star screen size is 5.5-inch, which is unmatched amongst its competitors, however, there is room for improvement as we have witnessed with the Moto G6 or the Samsung Galaxy A50. We will discuss these differences later on.

The J7 star also comes with a 3300mAh non-removable battery which appeals to a wide demographic.

What about the drawbacks?

The battery is non-removable so it would cost you more to replace it. It supports fast charging through a micro USB port and can last an entire day with regular use.

Moving onto the cameras, this is one of the only phones with the same-sized rear and front-facing cameras. Equipped with two 13MP cameras and autofocus, the Galaxy J7 Star allows users to take amazing pictures and high-quality videos. Not to mention, it allows you to take some amazing selfies as well.

Equipped with an accelerometer, the J7 Star can detect even the slightest tilt and adjust the display orientation accordingly. It is also equipped with a fingerprint sensor that allows for a quicker unlock and a more secure device.

The J7 Star also supports the three major network bands including 4G LTE. The Bluetooth connectivity is substantial and GPS navigation is accurate on a phone like this.

Now that you know what to expect from the Galaxy J7 Star, should you invest in it?

Galaxy J7 Star

In its heyday, the Galaxy J7 Star was the ideal budget smartphone. But in comparison to more recent models such as the Moto G6 or the Galaxy A50, the J7 Star might seem quite outdated.

With newer models, we are given bigger screens, higher resolutions, and faster, more powerful processors. These specs have made it difficult to choose the J7 Star over its competitors.

However, with these new developments, the prices of its alternatives have also increased, which is exactly what makes us love the J7 Star. Priced affordably, you are guaranteed satisfaction for what you pay.

Simply put, if you are not willing to spend for extra features or specs, the Galaxy J7 Star is the perfect budget smartphone for you. It’s affordable yet powerful!
