Some might say that since it is not a flagship device, there is nothing worth getting excited about. Then again, not everyone is concerned about flagships. Some users are just as happy with a regular device (as long as their needs are met) as they would be if they owned a high-end smartphone. LG does satisfy a lot of those needs.
In the past few years, the brand has added a lot of modern features to their smartphones and that earned them a wide customer base. Released in November 2017, the LG Fiesta 2 is not the most unique device in the market but it sure has been a fan favorite. Let's get into the LG Fiesta 2 review.
LG Fiesta 2 Specs – Key Features You Need To Know
The phone looks and feels solid with the rubberized back and metal frames. The LG Fiesta 2 LTE (GSM) is the L163BL model. There is another one, L64VL providing CDMA services – with only a few differences between them.
It comes with a quad-core Snapdragon processor and Android 7.0. The 2GB RAM is not too impressive but collaborates well with the processor.
Certain features of the device are noteworthy. During the time of its release, some of these features were relatively new and exciting:
It has a 4500 mAh battery that lasts throughout the day (maybe even longer, depending on usage)
The 5.5” HD display (which is quite big) means watching videos is even more fun
Supports external memory of up to 2TB
It has a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, which is not the best but has been loved by customers
Front-facing flash for perfect selfies in low light (still not a common feature)
Its maximum standby time reported was 700 hours – you could grow radishes in your garden within that time.
Although built-in applications and systems use up a portion of it, the 16GB internal storage has not been an issue for customers since it can be expanded with a micro SD card.
Should you buy this?
Since the set is carrier-locked, it is not available in many countries. Unfortunately, the production has now been discontinued. However, you can still find some sets (by Simple Mobile) on Amazon. You can check it out for yourself:
Other brands like Xiaomi, Nokia, and Motorola also have similar products within a budget that you can consider but most of them will not have a long-lasting battery. However, Motorala E4 Plus has proven to be a hit in this department with a 5000 mAh battery and is within a similar price range. I suggest you check out its full specifications before you decide to buy.
If the battery life on this device does not impress you, its other features probably won’t either. For the price range, I would say this is a good buy.
