Not only is the Tab S7 the best tablet for streaming videos, but it’s one of the best units in general. It’s huge. Its screen stretches 11 inches (279.4 mm) across.

Although large, it doesn’t have the most vibrant display. It rocks a LTPS IPS LCD panel. As you’ll see later on, the more affordable S5e has Super AMOLED.

It’s very sharp. Its resolution is 1600 x 2560 pixels. There’s a more than decent screen-to-body ratio too. It’s 83.6%, which means there’s barely any bezel action going on.

You’ll be able to stream all kinds of content. It’s HDR10+ rated – it can produce a range of colour.

Its animations are also buttery. A 120 Hz refresh rate is present.

It houses Dolby Atmos quad speakers. The bass would be so great that you’d feel whatever you’re watching.

With the tab S7, watching movies for hours is possible. It has the largest battery on our list. The unit inside of it is 8000 mAh. It’ll last a little over 13 hours.

It has a USB-C port. You’ll be charging it with a 45 W fast charger. It’ll go from 0-100% in 2.5 hours.

No, you can’t remove its battery.

You might not want to watch movies online – you’re a fan of downloading them. The storage options available are appreciated. They are 128, 256 and 512 GB of space. Whichever option you choose, there’ll be a microSD slot.

The one we’re reviewing comes with 128 GB of ROM.

There’s a lot of RAM as well. This makes moving through its systems a breeze. The 128 GB variant comes with 6 GB of memory. The others have 8 gigs.

Although you don’t need a powerful processor to watch movies, you’ll love that the Galaxy tab has one. It houses the Snapdragon 865+ which is known as one of the fastest chipsets around. That’s why people attach keyboards to it, using it as a laptop alternative.

Pros:

  • Large display
  • Barely any bezel action
  • A lot of RAM and ROM
  • Large battery
  • Powerful processor
  • Dolby Atmos speakers
  • HDR10+ rated
  • 120 HZ refresh rate

Cons:

  • Might be too big

The handset is big. It comes with a 10.9-inch (276.8 mm) screen. It’s super thin too, and its dimensions are 9.75 in x 7.03 in x 0.24 in (247.6 mm x 178.5 mm x 6.1 mm).

The panel on its front is Liquid Retina IPS LCD. It’s not vibrant, but it’s better than the front on the S7. It’s also sharp. Its resolution is 1640 x 2360 pixels.

You might want to snack while watching movies. Oil won’t collect on its screen. Apple placed an oleophobic layer. This is something they do with many of their devices.

Although not HDR10+ rated, it can produce a range of colours. Apple’s Wide Color Gamut technology is present.

It’s bright as well. 500 max nits are the gold standard. Its display is exactly that amount – you won’t be squinting when streaming content outdoors.

If we didn’t mention it already, there is an 81.3% screen-to-body ratio. It barely has any bezel action going on.

Its speakers are loud. That being said, they’re no Dolby Atmos.

For some reason, the company hasn’t made its battery size public knowledge. You’ll be charging the iPad with a USB-C port. It’ll take 2 and a half hours to fully charge.

The incredibly powerful A14 Bionic chip is housed. Maneuvering through its systems is silky smooth.

You can download all sorts of movies. It comes with either 64 or 128 GB of space. Sadly, microSD slots aren’t available.

Pros:

  • Large display
  • Sharp viewing experience
  • Superb screen-to-body ratio
  • Bright screen
  • Comes with an oleophobic layer
  • Powerful processor

Cons:

  • Might be too big
  • We don’t know how big its battery is
New Apple iPad Air (10.9-inch, Wi-Fi, 64GB) - Silver (Latest Model,...
Stunning 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with True Tone and P3 wide color; A14 Bionic chip with Neural Engine

You’ll love watching movies as it has a large screen – it’s 10.5 inches (266.7 mm). The panel on its front is vibrant. As discussed earlier, it’s Super AMOLED.

Its resolution is 1600 x 2560 pixels. You won’t notice any blurriness, even if you look closely. There’s a great screen-to-body ratio as well. It’s 81.6%.

There’s hardened glass on its front. Unfortunately, Samsung hasn’t made its specific type public knowledge.

If you’re on the go and want to watch a film, you can easily take the S5e with you. It’s extremely thin. The following are its dimensions, 9.65 in x 6.30 in x 0.22 in (245 mm x 160 mm x 5.5 mm).

How could it be one of the best tablet for videos without good speakers? Dolby Atmos quad ones are available.

Unfortunately, there’s no headphone jack. You’ll be attaching headphones through Bluetooth.

It has a 7040 mAh battery. It’s non removable and fully drains in around 12 hours. To charge it, you’ll be using a USB-C port.

The thing is:

It takes a while to charge. It goes from 0-100% in 3 hours.

You can pick it up with either 64 or 128 GB of space. The option we’re reviewing comes with former.

Moving through applications would be easy, Samsung placed a lot of RAM. The 64 GB variant we’re talking about comes with 4 GB of memory. The other option has 6 gigs.

Its processor is not beastly. Thankfully, a powerful chipset isn’t needed to watch movies. It has the Snapdragon 670 housed.

Pros:

  • Super AMOLED screen
  • Large display
  • More than decent screen-to-body ratio
  • Loud speakers
  • A lot of RAM and ROM
  • Thin

Cons:

  • Not the longest battery life

The Galaxy S6 Lite is more affordable than the entries above. It comes with expert specs, though.

It’s big – its screen stretches 10.4 inches (264.16 mm) across. It’s also thin. But it can’t compete with the paper-like S5e. Its dimensions are 9.63 in x 6.07 in x 0.28 in (244.5 mm x 154.3 mm x 7 mm).

The panel on its front is TFT. It doesn’t hold a torch to Super AMOLED.

You’re getting a pin-sharp display. It is 1200 x 2000 pixels.

Its screen-to-body ratio is superb. There’s barely any bezel action going on, being 81.6%.

There are Dolby Atmos dual speakers on it. You’re more than aware how loud sounds would be. If you’re not a fan of just using its speakers, know that you can utilize its 3.5 mm headphone jack. Of course, headphones can also be attached through Bluetooth.

It comes with a strong glass front. Once again, we’re not told the type of glass it is.

The battery on it is 7040 mAh. It is nonremovable. The S6 Lite would last around half a day. To charge it, you’ll be using a USB-C port. It includes 15 W fast charging.

The thing is:

Nothing about how long it takes to charge is fast – it’ll be 3 hours.

You’ll be picking it up with 4 GB of RAM. The storage options available are more than decent. They are 64 and 128 GB. Whichever one you choose, there’ll be a microSD slot. Downloading as many tv shows and movies as you want would be possible.

What about its processor? It is the Exynos 9611. Compared to the Snapdragon 670, it out-beats it.

Pros:

  • Large display
  • Barely any bezel action going on
  • Dolby Atmos speakers
  • 3.5 mm headphone jack
  • Snappy processor
  • Thin
  • Expandable storage
  • A lot of RAM and ROM

Cons:

  • Not the most vibrant display

It’s a 10.5-inch (266.7 mm) tab. It’s not only big but also thin. You’re looking at a 9.81 in x 6.47 in x 0.28 in (249.3 mm x 164.3 mm x 7.1 mm) unit.

We’re fond of its panel. It is Super AMOLED. It doesn’t have the best screen-to-body ratio, though. It is 78.6%.

In the sharpness department, it does well. A 1600 x 2560-pixel resolution is present.

You don’t have to worry about denting its display, there’s strengthened glass.

There are quad speakers on it. Samsung placed Dolby Atmos ones.

From the entries so far, its battery is the smallest. It houses a 7300 mAh unit. That being said, it lasts as long as alternatives.

Being a former flagship, a powerful processor is housed. It is the Snapdragon 835. But as you’re aware, a snappy chipset doesn’t affect your movie watching experience.

RAM does, though – switching between apps would lag.  Samsung lets you pick it up with 4 or 6 GB of memory. What about ROM? It’d either be 64 or 256 GB of space. We’re glad to say that you’re getting a microSD slot.

Get a good book ready, it fully charges in almost 3 and a half hours. You’ll be plugging a 18 W fast charger into its USB-C port.

As you can imagine, its battery is not removable.

Pros:

  • Large display
  • Sharp screen
  • Very vibrant panel
  • Barely any bezel action
  • Dolby atmos speakers
  • Powerful processor
  • A lot of RAM and ROM
  • Expandable storage

It’s called the Plus but it’s not the largest entry on our list. It’s 10.3 inches (261.62 mm).

A familiar panel was placed. It is IPS LCD. We’re actually told its max nits. 500 is the gold standard, and it’s 330.

Its screen resolution is decent. It is 1920 x 1200 pixels.

There’s a great screen-to-body ratio.  It’s one of the best in our review, being 82.2%.

Although it comes with superior bezel action, its battery is the smallest. A 7000 mAh unit one is housed. That being said, the Lenovo Tab doesn’t last less than alternatives. Its battery goes from 0-100% in around half a day.

Its battery is non removable – this is a trend seen throughout our article.

You can download many movies. It comes with a microSD slot. The option we’re reviewing comes with 128 GB of space. The others have 32 or 64 GB. The 32 gig one is a 2 GB RAM model. Its counterparts are 4 GB.

Yes, there is a headphone jack. There are stereo speakers on its rear which are loud. They were tuned with Dolby Atmos ones.

Its processor is not snappy. The Helio P22T is inside it.

Pros:

  • Affordable
  • Large display
  • Good screen-to-body ratio
  • Expandable storage
  • microSD slot available

Cons:

  • Not the most powerful processor housed

You’re looking at the smallest tab on our list. It’s still big, though. It has a 10.1-inch (256.4 mm) display.

Amazon placed an IPS LCD panel. It comes with a 1920 x 1200-pixel resolution.

We’re not fans of its screen-to-body ratio. It is 71%. There’s quite a bit of bezel action going on.

There’s strengthened glass on its front. However, it’s not as secure as the rest.

The company placed stereo speakers. They are Dolby Atmos. Although its speakers are loud, you might want to listen to videos with headphones. There is a 3.5 mm jack on it.

Amazon hasn’t made its battery size public knowledge. But it lasts as long as its counterparts. It fully drains in around 12 hours. To charge it, you’ll be using a USB port. Out of the box, it comes with a regular 9 W charger – it’ll fully charge in 4 hours.

No, its battery is not removable.

Here’s the deal:

It comes with 2 GB of RAM. If you’re watching a movie and have many apps running in the background, its systems might stutter. Don’t forget that the tab is affordable.

You’re getting decent ROM, however. You can purchase it with 32 or 64 GB of space. Whichever one you choose, there’d be a microSD slot.

As you can imagine, its processor is not beastly. But it’s adequate enough to comfortably stream content. It is the Mediatek Helio P60T.

Pros:

  • Affordable
  • Dolby atmos speakers
  • Large display
  • microSD slot

Cons:

  • Weak processor
  • Not a lot of RAM

Buying Guide

The above options are the best tablets for watching Netflix, movies and all kinds of videos. But what features differentiate them from the rest?

Large Display

When looking for a handset to watch movies, it needs to have a large display. You’ll be able to immerse yourself in whatever you’re watching. The options we discussed were huge.

Good Viewing Experience

Most tabs come with IPS LCD screens. They’re not very vibrant – Super AMOLED is the best. Two of our entries come with it, and they’re on the top of our list.

To have a good viewing experience, it needs to have a screen-to-body ratio that’s over 80%. This would result in the least bezel action going on.

If it’s sharp, with a resolution of around 1600 x 2400 pixels, you’d never notice blurriness either.

Speakers

Loud speakers would be needed for a great movie experience. Samsung loves to place Dolby Atmos ones on units – they provide a lot of bass.

Battery Life

How are you supposed to binge tv shows when you’re running out of charge all the time? An excellent choice would have a battery life of around half a day.

Tips for The Best Purchase

If you make note of the below points, you’ll be making the smartest purchases.

Look for Warranty

You need a warranty when buying tabs. No matter how durable they are, there are still ways to damage them. Unless you’re a fan of throwing the cash you spent down the drain, look for good coverage.

Return Policy

Although reading reviews would help you decide on a tab, you might realize that it doesn’t go with your daily life when it arrives. Hopefully, the seller you’re buying from offers a return policy.

Final Thoughts

What did you think about our review? Tabs are great for watching movies, but it can be intimidating finding the right one – there are so many available. You don’t have to worry, though, are list has you covered.

The Galaxy Tab S7 deserved our number 1 spot. It’s a handset that’s big, has a great display, and even better battery life.

Samsung dominated our list as they have some of the best tabs.
