6 Best Boost Mobile Phones to Boost Your Daily Communications [2020 Update]

Even though we can find Wi-Fi almost everywhere these days, we can’t quite survive without a mobile network. Not yet, at least. We probably use it much less than we used to, but some of us are still paying the same hefty amount every month.

For those of us who are not constantly making calls and using data on the go, prepaid plans come to the rescue. Boost Mobile can provide that liberty and this is our list of the best Boost Mobile phones you can get.

Why get a Boost Mobile?

If you are already a user, you must know the advantages of using Boost Mobile. Boost Mobile provides no-contract prepaid plans that let you pay for however much you need. They have a variety of data packs, family plans, and international service. They have both monthly and daily payment packs, so you can take your pick.

To avail of their services, you can either purchase a phone directly from them or get it on your existing device. However, if you do want to get their network on your existing device, you will be eligible for monthly plans only. If you buy the phone from them, you get all privileges. They offer discounted prices, so you get a good deal.

Motorola’s G series has some great devices. The G7 Power is a powerful set with great features and a great battery. You are mostly going to be interested in this is you like large screens and don’t like charging your phone every now and then (who does?).

Check out the device specs:

  • Dimensions –  6.27 x 3 x 0.37 inches (159.4 x 76 x 9.3 mm)
  • Screen – 6.2” (157.48 mm) diagonal
  • Display type – LTPS LCD
  • Resolution – 1570 x 720 pixels
  • RAM – 3 or 4 GB
  • Operating system – Android 9.0 Pie
  • Internal Memory – 32 or 64 GB (expandable)
  • Audio – Loudspeaker, 3.5 mm headphone jack
  • Camera – 12 MP (rear) and 8 MP (front)
  • Battery – 5000 mAh

The G7 Power has an octa-core processor with a Snapdragon 632 chipset. It runs Android 9.0 Pie and will probably not get any further updates. The user interface is smooth and using this phone regularly is quite satisfying.

There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner that is quite fast and accurate, positioned well within your reach. You can also use Moto Face unlock, but that’s not the most secure way to lock your phone.

The large screen is great for watching videos. The LTPS screen makes the images appear rather clear. The colors are decent, but not the best amongst its competitors. There is just one speaker, which is not that great itself but there a headphone jack, which you might enjoy.

This phone isn’t ideal for other media, but the gaming experience is pretty smooth. There are variations of 32 and 64 GB of internal memory, but there is a dedicated microSD slot, so it doesn’t matter which one you get – you can easily expand it.

The fast charger gives you up to 9 hours of usage with just 15 minutes of charging. The battery life on this phone is amazing – up to 3 days with low to medium usage. You can forget your charger on a weekend away and you’ll still be able to make calls home.

While Samsung’s Galaxy series has done well in the high-end phones category, they have also brought in some mid-range devices with pretty good features. The Galaxy A20 is, in fact, one of the most affordable ones in the series.

Check out the device specs:

  • Dimensions – 6.24 x 2.94 x 0.31 inches (158.4 x 74.7 x 7.8 mm)
  • Screen – 6.4” (162.56 mm) diagonal
  • Display Type – Super AMOLED
  • Resolution – 1560 x 720 pixels
  • RAM – 3 GB
  • Operating system – Android 9.0 Pie
  • Internal Memory – 32 GB (expandable)
  • Audio – Loudspeaker, 3.5 mm headphone jack
  • Camera – 13 MP + 5 MP (dual main camera), 8 MP (front)
  • Battery – 4000 mAh

This phone has a 3 GB RAM and an octa-core processor. The device is currently running Android 9.0 Pie and Samsung’s One UI. Software is not that extraordinary, but overall performance is good.

The 4000 mAh battery is very long-lasting and complements the CPU. It sounds quite average, but given the price, this phone is a bargain.

The large super AMOLED screen is great for watching videos. The images are crisp and bright. The camera is pretty good too, with an additional 5 MP wide lens and HD video recording. I enjoy using Samsung’s camera app and feel like they have improved it.

The loudspeakers aren’t all that loud, to be honest. But the device has a headphone jack and Dolby Atmos-enabled sound – so definitely use the headphones.

There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner which is not the most responsive but is decent. The issue is positioning, which might be too high for some users. However, this flaw can be ignored considering the phone is overall well-designed.

Samsung Galaxy A20.

There is a reason why probably everyone remembers the launch of the Apple iPhone 7. It was the first iPhone with no headphone jack (before that became a trend). Despite that, it was somehow more popular than its predecessor and is still a great choice for your daily driver.

Check out the device specs:

  • Dimensions – 5.44 x 2.64 x 0.28 inches (138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm)
  • Screen – 4.7” (119.38 mm) diagonal
  • Display type – Retina HD
  • Resolution – 1334 x 750 pixels
  • RAM – 2 GB
  • Operating system – iOS 10.0.1 (upgradable up to iOS 13.4)
  • Internal Memory – 128 GB
  • Audio – Loudspeaker
  • Camera – 12 MP (rear) and 7 MP (front)
  • Battery – 1960 mAh

There is no question of its design. The device has a sleek metal body with curved edges. Despite the 2 GB RAM, this phone is pretty fast. Even though the features seem average, the OS is upgradable, and so overall experience is still great.

While the size may be a bit smaller based on current standards, the screen resolution makes up for it. The Retina HD display is as sharp as it is colorful.

The home button is not really a physical button, but a touch button with haptic feedback. Within it, there is a fingerprint scanner, which is fast and accurate.

With the 128 GB built-in memory, you probably need no expansion. Store all the media, games, and files you want. The set is also water and dust resistant. So just fill it up with all your favorite apps and dash to that picnic.

This one is a premium device. The Samsung Galaxy S8 was revolutionary at the time of its release in 2017 with its curved screen and no bezels on the right and left edges. As far as smartphones go, it did look like the next best thing.

Check out the device specs:

  • Dimensions – 5.86 x 2.68 x 0.31 inches (148.9 x 68.1 x 8 mm)
  • Screen – 5.8” (147.32 mm) diagonal
  • Display Type – Super AMOLED
  • Resolution – 1440 x 2960 pixels
  • RAM – 4 GB
  • Operating system – Android 7.0 Nougat, upgradable to Android 9.0 Pie
  • Internal Memory – 64 GB (expandable)
  • Audio – Loudspeaker, 32-bit/384kHz audio, 3.5 mm headphone jack
  • Camera – 12 MP (rear) and 8 MP (front), 2 MP (dedicated iris scanner camera)
  • Battery – 3000 mAh

The Galaxy S8 has a 4 GB RAM and an octa-core processor. The Android version is upgradeable up to 9.0, although we are unsure if it will go any further.

This device has a large 5.8” (147.32 mm) screen and the resolution is incredible. The images look sharp and you can watch videos and play games on it.

The dual camera with 4K video recording works very well. You will not get tired of clicking pictures with this thing. At the front, you will also find a 2 MP dedicated iris scanner camera.

Before many brands started using the face unlock feature, Samsung had come up with an iris scanner to unlock your phone. There is also the option of fingerprint locking with the rear-mounted scanner. The scanner is oddly positioned beside the camera, so I would probably use other methods.

The front-facing speakers are pretty good. Audio is high in quality and over 20 audio file formats are supported. The battery life on this device is average – with 3G internet usage, you only get about 11 hours on a single charge.

For the powerful processing unit, a larger battery would have helped. Regardless, this is probably one of the best Boost Mobile Samsung phones you will find.

The LG Stylo 5 is for those who cannot afford one of the Samsung Note phones. Okay, not really. It is not exactly a replacement for Samsung, but it’s a pretty good phone that comes with a stylus and is not too expensive.

Check out the device specs:

  • Dimensions – 6.3 x 3.06 x 0.33 inches (160 x 77.7 x 8.4 mm)
  • Screen – 6.2” (157.48 mm) diagonal
  • Display type – IPS LCD
  • Resolution – 1080 x 2160 pixels
  • RAM – 3 GB
  • Operating system – Android 9.0 Pie
  • Internal Memory – 32 GB (expandable)
  • Audio – DTS:X 3D surround sound, 3.5 mm headphone jack
  • Camera – 13 MP (rear) and 5 MP (front)
  • Battery – 3500 mAh

The design is pretty great and better than its predecessor. The metallic finish and curved edges look quite nice. The volume rockers and the power button are on separate sides, which is something I find very comfortable.

The stylus hides at the bottom right corner and attaches with a click. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner to safely lock your device.

The screen and resolution on this device are really good. The large screen gets bright and colors are vibrant. The 3 GB RAM and octa-core processor give an overall smooth performance.

The stylus is fun to use and screen detection is pretty fast. This phone also features a 3D surround sound. Pair that with the large screen and you get a great video as well as a gaming experience.

The battery life is good, even with heavy usage. It’s been recorded to give up to 350 hours of standby time – by the time the battery wears off, there will be a new moon in the sky (if there is a full moon tonight). For the given price, this phone is quite a catch.

Yes, we saved the best for last. Although Google has already launched a newer model, the Google Pixel 3a is a personal favorite. This device comprises of all the great things about stock Android and brings it to you at a reasonable price.

Check out the device specs:

  • Dimensions – 5.96 x 2.76 x 0.32 inches (151.3 x 70.1 x 8.2 mm)
  • Screen – 5.6” (142.24 mm)  diagonal
  • Display type – OLED
  • Resolution – 1080 x 2220 pixels
  • RAM – 4 GB
  • Operating system – Android 9.0 Pie (upgradable)
  • Internal Memory – 64 GB
  • Audio – Stereo speakers, 3.5 mm headphone jack
  • Camera – 12.2 MP (rear) and 8 MP (front)
  • Battery – 3000 mAh

It has a Snapdragon 670 chipset and an octa-core processor, which seems like the perfect pairing – at least while using the phone. You get the pure Android feel with the software design and settings. The overall system is fast, including the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner which is comfortable to use.

The 5.6” (142.24 mm) screen size is what you can call ‘medium’ in today’s standards. But it makes the overall size of the phone comfortable to hold. The resolution is beautiful. Watching videos is so much on this phone. The OLED display gives you a clear and colorful picture.

With the 12.2 MP dual-pixel camera, this phone takes incredible photos. It has optical and electronic image stabilization, which means all you have to do is hold up the phone and click! Even the 8 MP front camera is great for selfies.

Battery life is also pretty good. You cannot expand the memory on this, which is probably the only downside we could find. But hey, you can always use your Google cloud storage if you need extra space.

If you want a combination of Google Pixel and Boost Mobile, this should be your choice. This is one of the best Boost Mobile android phones you will come across.

To Conclude

We would like to say that the best reason to buy one of these is if you want to switch your network provider. You can always take your old device and try out Boost Mobile for a month (you are free to switch whenever you want) if you want to check out their services.

However, do not rush into buying a new phone just because you are getting a good offer. Do your research – shop smart.
