Thanks Steve.

On behalf of every graphic, visual, industrial and motion designer on the planet I would like to personally thank Steve Jobs - a god among men. Not only because of his revolutionary thinking, nor his unmatched successes in technology and design, but for what he has done for designers. He has given hope to every poor bloke sitting in a cubicle, trying to convince their VP of Sales, Director of Marketing, Head of Engineering and CEO that it is the silent and seamless perfection between design and engineering that makes a product. On this, the first official ICD blog, it seemed appropriate to dedicate the words that are sent out by us into the world, to be those that pass back good karma to the man that changed product design forever, over and over again. I have often heard the saying “What would [insert your favorite spiritual leader here] do?” In our day-to-day struggle of the compromises between great design, time to market and price point, I often find myself thinking “What would Steve do?” We don't always have the power to do it, but its a good dream.
